Job Description

An opportunity for an expereinced Product Owner to play a significant role in the digital transformation of a renowned insurance company.  The Product Owner will work with executive stakeholders to define and realise product strategies that result in a tangible business outcome. This is a high visibility opportunity for an ambitious Product Owner with significant opportunity for forward career progression.

Responsibilities
  • Create and manage the product roadmap and priorities for the success of the product
  • Create, maintain & communicate requirements to the business analysis, user experience, user interface and development teams
  • Gather and analyse insights from client feedback, competitors, peers and the insurance industry
  • Prioritise backlog features for development sprints
  • Help organise and participate in sprint planning sessions and reviews
  • Host requirements gathering workshops
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, executive stakeholders, and team members
  • Gather and document user stories that clearly articulate the business systems function and requirements
Skills / Experience Profile:
  • Post-secondary degree or significant equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis or Software Engineering
  • Experience in the insurance industry or financial industry a huge asset·      
  • Previous experience working with agile development methodologies
  • Clear understanding of product lifecycle and ceremonies
  • Experience working within Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence
