Job Description

This is a unique and challenging opportunity for experienced Data and Analytics Engineers to work at the forefront of Microsoft technologies and continue their MS certification journey. As a Lead Data Engineering Consultant, you will be heading up bespoke and cutting-edge advanced analytics solutions that leverage the latest capabilities of Microsoft technology to bring commercial advantage to some of the UK’s most recognised companies.
  
Responsibilities
Successful candidates will draw upon their experience to advise clients on analytics best practices and deliver analytics capabilities on time and to budget.
  • Advising clients on analytics best practice and delivering data analytics capabilities
  • Capturing client requirements and modelling data to develop an effective Data solution architecture
  • Developing and designing bespoke advanced analytics solutions utilising the MS Azure Data Analytics Stack
  • Keeping skills at the forefront of emerging technologies and trends in the MS Azure Data Analytics stack
  • Implementing solutions using best practices for the management and transformation of data
  • Designing and developing effective visualisations and dashboards to present information in a clear and informative manner
  
Skills & Experience Profile
We are looking for ambitious consulting professionals who combine their technical acumen with a genuine enthusiasm for improving organisations. 
  • Strong client facing experience, previously working for a management consultancy or system integrator
  • Demonstrable experience designing or developing advanced business intelligence & analytics solutions using the full MS Azure Data Stack (SQL / IS / RS / AS / Synapse / Power BI / Azure Data Lake / Fabric )
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Design & development experience using data discovery / visualisation tools such as MS Power BI, QlikView, and Tableau
  • Ability to model and transform data, build ETL solutions and present data in a useful business context
  • Experience developing data warehouses & data marts using the Kimball methodology
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Salary Offered: £75k - £85k (based on experience)
