Job Description

This is an exciting and crucial role at a leading London Market insurance firm. As a Guidewire Application Specialist, you will act as a Guidewire SME and be pivotal to its successful implementation and management. As well as supporting BAU activities, you will be at centre of a digital transformation journey which looks to reengineer the relationship with business customers, improve the value provided by vendors and become deeply integrated with other wider IT Product and Platforms teams.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the business analyst to interpret, clarify, and plan for the implementation of user stories
• Develop integration solutions including Batch Processes, Message Queues and Event Messaging
• Create new data model elements and extending the existing applications data model with new properties
• Manage application configuration and performing software upgrades.
• Establish and execute traceable unit and integration tests (automated as to be agreed)
• Provide technical support for all Guidewire suite application in production
• Engage with  technical teams to ensure appropriate resolution of incidents, recording of resolutions and identification of bugs and defects

Skills and Experience:

• Certification and experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter and at least one full product implementation. GL, PL, CA and WC experience strongly preferred
• Expertise in Guidewire APIs, GX Model and Product Models
• Experience in GuideWire PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter and Java/J2ee programming and development
• Hands-on experience with Guidewire Configuration using Studio, GScripts/GOSU and Integration experience
• Technical exposure to J2EEDesign Patterns Factory Pattern, Singleton, Session Facade, Service Locator, DAO
