Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in a large-scale transformation programme at one of the world’s financial services majors. The DevOps Engineer will utilise their experience to transform the way commercially critical digital platforms are delivered, managed and extended.

Responsibilities
  • Working closely with product engineering, quality assurance, platform and support engineers to develop efficient and effective CI/CD tools, processes, integrations and tests
  • Create and maintain fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments (e.g. .NET, Pega, Arcus, Sitecore)
  • Troubleshoot any issues found along the CI/CD pipeline
  • On-board, train and support software engineers through their development/sprint lifecycles
  • Working closely with the DevOps practice lead and Architects to help shape the DevOps technology strategies and roadmaps, writing reusable scripts where appropriate and ensuring that relevant architecture artefacts are created, agreed and maintained
Required Skills / Experience
  • Previous involvement in large-scale digital transformation programmes.
  • Experience of designing and delivering enterprise-wide DevOps solutions in a greenfield environment
  • Experience of developing innovative ideas and principles around agile IT delivery
  • Significant experience working in continuous integration and continuous development
  • Broad understanding of tools and technologies including source control, CI, infrastructure automation, deployment automation & orchestration, container concepts and cloud
  • Key Skills:  Ansible / Azure DevOps and AWS CI/CD Tools + GIT
