Overview ShareForce has been exclusively retained to conduct the search for a Chief Technology & Innovation Officer on behalf of a successful technology and professional services organisation. This is a future-focused leadership appointment for an individual who can define a compelling technology and innovation vision, establish the roadmap to deliver it and bring clients, partners and colleagues on that journey.
The successful candidate will anticipate how cloud, data and AI technologies are evolving and translate those developments into clear strategic choices, differentiated services and sustainable commercial opportunities.
This is not a conventional hands-on engineering or technology-operations role. It is a strategic, client-facing position combining technology vision, innovation, executive advisory, market influence and organisational leadership.
Key Responsibilities - Define and communicate a clear, multi-year technology and innovation vision aligned with the organisation's growth ambitions.
- Create the strategic roadmap required to turn that vision into differentiated capability, client value and sustainable commercial growth.
- Monitor developments across cloud, data and AI, identifying the trends most likely to affect clients, services and future market demand.
- Shape technical capabilities into coherent, relevant and commercially compelling client propositions.
- Advise senior clients on technology strategy, transformation priorities and investment decisions.
- Help clients move from strategic ambition to practical programmes capable of delivering measurable outcomes.
- Build internal alignment around the technology roadmap, connecting commercial, consulting, delivery and technical communities.
- Strengthen senior relationships with Microsoft and other strategically important technology partners.
- Represent the organisation in executive client engagements, industry events and relevant market forums.
- Support strategic opportunities and the development of new services, accelerators, intellectual property and partnership propositions.
Skills / Experience Profile - A strong record of defining technology or innovation strategies and translating them into achievable roadmaps.
- The ability to identify emerging technology and market trends and convert them into relevant commercial opportunities.
- Significant experience across Microsoft Cloud, data, business applications or AI technologies.
- A strong understanding of the opportunities created by generative AI, automation and data-led transformation.
- Experience guiding organisations through complex cloud, AI or digital-transformation journeys.
- Credibility when advising C-suite and Board-level stakeholders on technology strategy, investment and change.
- A record of connecting technical capability with measurable business outcomes and compelling investment cases.
- Senior leadership experience gained within consulting, professional services, technology services or a similarly client-focused environment.
- Strong commercial judgement and experience contributing to propositions, strategic opportunities and senior client relationships.
- Excellent communication, influencing and public-speaking skills, supported by a collaborative and low-ego leadership style.
