Job Description

An opportunity for an ambitious IT services sales professional to take a director role with one of the UK's leading Microsoft partners. The successful candidate will have a proven track record and a passion for driving revenue and delivering transformative business change across local government.
  
Responsibilities:
  • Own and cultivate relationships with senior stakeholders across local government organisations.
  • Follow a consultancy-led approach, acting as a trusted advisor to clients to develop their understanding of transformational services, guiding them through the complex technology decision making process.
  • Develop new business leads and opportunities or growing new leads within an existing customer.
  • Identify and establish new business leads and opportunities.
  • Build and foster relationships with sector specific Microsoft Sales teams.
  • Be responsible for account strategy and execution, articulating a clear vision with achievable goals and supporting technical teams to develop and iterate products, strategies and roadmaps.
  • Stay abreast of the changing digital and technology landscape and the opportunities they provide to improve the delivery of public services in the UK.
  • Lead engagements with customers and stakeholders in a range of public arenas.
Experience / Skills:
  • Relevant industry experience across business development, commercial digital transformation and the technology sector.
  • Highly experienced across pre-sales, sales and working in tandem with delivery and consulting teams.
  • A passion for delivering impactful business change and transformation into local government, as well as a deep understanding of the  challenges these organisations face.
  • Demonstrable experience in complex contract and deal negotiations.
  • Proven ability to hit and exceed revenue targets circa £5m within a global systems integration environment.
  • High-level understanding of modern technologies used in delivery of cloud-based software products – and able to explain the purpose and constraints of these technologies / approaches to non-technical people.
