This is an exciting opportunity for an Azure Data Engineer to join an experienced team in a new venture working at the forefront of data analytics and Artificial Intelligence. Our client equips ambitious organisations with enduring control of their data and AI evolution. This role is an opportunity to lead the build of bespoke data systems for our clients.
Responsibilities: - Architecture, design, development and delivery of enterprise grade data solutions within Microsoft Azure
- Work on high profile projects with well-known clients across various sectors
- Help clients realise the potential of data science, machine learning, and scaled data processing within Azure ecosystem
- Mentor junior team members and support their personal development
- Take ownership for the delivery of core solution components
- Work directly with clients to understand requirements and present solutions to customer sponsors
Skills and Experiences: - Broad experience across data engineering concepts including, Data Ingestion and Integration, IoT and Event Streaming, Data Storage (i.e. data lakes, lake houses), Relational Databases and Scalable Compute (i.e. MPP architectures).
- Strong background of enterprise data platform development, concepts and methods with the ability to adapt and tailor based on requirements
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics/or Azure Databricks, Synapse DW
- Expert Python, SQL and Version Control skills
- Great understanding of Reporting and Analytics, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts / methods.
- Excellent communication skills
Additional Information: - Salary Range: £55k - £70k + Bens + Bonus
- Location: Hybrid / London (opportunities to work remotely)
